BALLET MISTRESS STAATSBALLETT BERLIN
was born in Toulouse. She studied at the Academie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo and won in 1981 at 15 years old the "Prix de Lausanne" after which she completed her training at the Paris Opera Ballet School. In 1982, she joined the Scottish Ballet under the direction of Director Peter Darrell where at the age of 19 years old, she became a soloist. From 1986 until 1990 she was a member of the English National Ballet, in 1990 she joined the ballet of the Deutshe Oper Berlin as a principal dancer.In 1996 Christine Camillo was part of the"Prix de Lausanne" jury. The year after she was nominated for the prestigious dance award "Benois de la Danse." In 2004, she retired from the stage and has been a Ballet Mistress with the Staatsballett Berlin since then.
