ERIC CAMILLO

TEACHER OF PARIS OPERA BALLET SCHOOL

started to dance in Marika Besobrasova's class in Monte-Carlo before entering the Paris Opera Ballet School in 1981. He joined the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet as a Corps de Ballet Member in 1985. He was promoted to "Coryphée" in 1986 and to "Sujet" in 1987. His repertoire includes many roles in ballets of Rudolf Nureyev and the role of "Colin" in La Fille Mal Gardée (chor. Joseph Lazzini). He participated in numerous galas with the "Nureyev and Friends" group. In 1990 he won the first prize of the International Dance Competition of Paris and the AROP (Friends of the Paris Opera) award in 1991. Between January 2002 and July 2007 he was a teacher of the Paris Opera Ballet. Since 2004, Eric Camillo has been a teacher of the Paris Opera Ballet School.
