JAN BROECKX
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF BALLET ACADEMY MUNICH
was born in Belgium and educated at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. He was a soloist with the Royal Ballet of Flanders, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Bavarian State Ballet and a principal dancer with Roland Petit in Marseille. As Roland Petit's choreographic assistant, he sets and rehearses Roland Petit's ballets for many prestigious companys in the world. In 2002 he became a ballet master at La Scala, then in 2005 at the Zurich Ballet and now he is the Artistic Director of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.
